1. Scope

These Terms of Use apply to the LooksLab mobile application (the "App") and the website lookslab.de (the "Website"), provided by:

By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

LooksLab is an app for facial analysis and personal improvement. The app includes:

• Face Harmony Scan: Analysis of facial proportions based on photos.
• Skin, Teeth & Hair Analysis: AI-supported evaluation of skin, teeth, and hair.
• Daily Task Plan: Personalized daily recommendations based on your analysis results.
• Chat Coach: AI-supported chat feature for questions and guidance.
• Progress Tracking: History and progress overview.

3. Registration & Account

Some features require registration. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activities under your account.

Only individuals aged 16 or older may create an account.

4. AI Analysis Disclaimer

The analysis and recommendations in LooksLab are generated using AI and algorithmic methods. They are for informational and entertainment purposes only and do not constitute medical, dermatological, or dental advice.

Results may vary and must not be treated as diagnosis or treatment recommendations. For health concerns, always consult a qualified professional.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated content.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

LooksLab offers free basic functionality and paid premium features via subscription.

• Subscriptions are processed via Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat.
• Paid digital content in the iOS app is unlocked only through Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions.
• We do not provide external payment methods in-app to unlock iOS premium features.
• The Apple Standard EULA and App Store payment terms apply.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period in iPhone settings.
• Refunds for the current billing period are not provided unless granted by Apple under its policies.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Since subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled via the Apple App Store, Apple's refund and cancellation policies apply. See Apple Support – Request a refund.

For free website and waitlist usage, no paid consumer contract is concluded that would trigger statutory withdrawal rights.

7. Intellectual Property

All app and website content (texts, design, logos, software, algorithms) is owned by LooksLab UG (haftungsbeschränkt) or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.

Use of our services grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right for personal use in accordance with these terms.

8. User Obligations

You agree to:

• Use the app and website only for their intended purpose.
• Not upload unlawful, abusive, or third-party-rights-infringing content.
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the app.
• Respect usage limits (e.g. daily analysis/chat limits).
• Use only your own images for analysis, or images where you have explicit permission.
• Use LooksLab for personal self-improvement and self-care only, not to judge or harass others.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law:

• We are fully liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health and in cases of intent.
• For gross negligence, liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damage.
• For slight negligence, liability exists only for breach of essential contractual obligations and is limited to typical, foreseeable damage.
• Any further liability is excluded.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the app and services. Maintenance or technical issues may cause temporary downtime.

10. Termination & Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time (in-app under Settings -> "Delete Account" or via info@lookslab.de). Personal data associated with your account will be deleted accordingly.

We may suspend or delete accounts in case of violation of these terms.

Active subscriptions must be canceled separately via iPhone settings.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes may be communicated in-app or via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For merchants, place of jurisdiction is Hamburg. Mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects its economic intent.
